Power Blackjack comes as an extended, upgraded version of Evolution Gaming’s Infinite Blackjack. To be more precise, Evolution has combined elements of their standard live blackjack and Infinite Blackjack to create an exclusive version of live dealer 21 in which players can multiply their double down bet. The game is set in a professional studio decorated in royal blue and gold, with dealers sitting at the table wearing golden dresses.
In some way, Power Blackjack is just like any regular blackjack game, instead the number of players is unlimited and there’s the twist of being able to triple or quadruple down after any hand, even after a split. To keep the players on their toes and motivate them to play new strategies, the developers have removed 9s and 10s from the decks. On eight decks in the shoe, that’s 64 cards less in the game.
Evolution Gaming Power Blackjack is played with 8 decks in a manual shoe, without 9s and 10s. Picture cards stay in the decks. In every game round you can choose to double, triple or quadruple a bet on any two initial cards. The 2x, 3x and 4x multiply is available even after a split, which allows you to split your weak hands and then double down/multiply. The dealer will check for Blackjack on J, Q, K and Ace. So, apart from hit, stand or split, there are three more options available when it comes to making the decision after the initial deal. Choosing Double/Triple/Quadruple gives the player one extra card and the bet will increase accordingly.
Power Blackjack is equipped with four side bets: Hot Three, Three of a Kind, Any Pair and Bust It. The Six Card Charlie rule does not apply in this game. If you wish to make use of the Hit Three side bet, you wager on the total of three cards in your hand, or on the total of your first two cards and the dealer’s upcard. The Bust It bet gives you the opportunity to wager on the likelihood of the dealer going bust (exceeding the value of 21). Power Blackjack has an RTP of 98.8%.
Power Blackjack from Evolution Gaming is a step forward from Infinite Blackjack. It provides the familiarity that classic blackjack players like, but also offers opportunities to apply creative elements to the game. There are four different side bets to make use of, and, obviously, the Double/Triple/Quadruple feature shapes the game towards new strategies and thrilling sessions.
