The card game of baccarat is a mainstay offer at pretty much any live casino site. Most software providers offer at least a table or two, and BETER Live is no different.

Like all games from this provider, this baccarat game is available streamed 24/7 and streamed in top-quality video. The studio itself is a purpose-made, colourful set inspired by Asian aesthetics. In short, it looks quite good and is technically flawless – no surprise if you’re at all familiar with BETER software.

Beyond that, it’s worth noting that it stands out with no less than 6 side bets, giving you plenty of options.

Moreover, both regular and no-commission versions are available. They both use the same stream, but the one marked as NC removes the 5% commission charged on Banker bets.

In this review of BETER Live Baccarat, we’ll take a close look at the game as a whole. We’ll explain the rules, how it works, and how it compares to other top baccarat games. Also, this page contains a few recommended casinos in which you can find it.

How to Play Live Baccarat from BETER Live

For the most part, BETER’s game works much like any classic baccarat table out there. The rules are fairly standard if you’re familiar with this type of card game, and it’s generally beginner-friendly.

Use the chips at the bottom of the screen to set your stake. Then, simply click on Player, Banker, Tie, or any of the side wagers to place a bet.

Note that you don’t need to confirm your wager – as soon as you click on a betting position, your bet is accepted and active. Of course, you can still cancel or change it while the betting period lasts.

Speaking of which, the game runs on a constant loop of rounds divided by an 18-second betting period.

As always with baccarat, the goal is to predict which of the two card piles (Player or Banker) will draw cards whose total value is closer to 9. You can also predict that the round will end in a Tie.

Each side draws two cards, with an optional third according to baccarat third card rules. Also, any total card value over 10 only counts the last digit. If you want to know more about the basics of baccarat, make sure to check out our tutorial.

The regular and no-commission tables are essentially identical in terms of gameplay. The only difference affects the payouts, which we’ll discuss further down.

    Side Bets

As noted above, the BETER Live Baccarat game features six side bets in total. Some of them are quite similar to each other, but they’re also fairly popular baccarat side bets that are quite common in the industry.

    • Perfect Pair wins if the first two cards either Player or Banker draw have the same rank and suit. The payout is substantially increased if both piles draw perfect pairs.
    • Player/Banker Pair bets only win if the selected card pile draws two cards of the same rank in its initial two-card draw.
    • Either Pair wins if either Player or Banker draws two cards of the same rank. It pays less than the other Pair bets, but it’s also the likeliest to win.
    • Player/Banker Bonus wins if the Player or Banker wins with a Natural hand and a point difference of at least 4. To clarify, a natural win occurs when one side wins with only two cards drawn and a total value of 8 or 9. This value has to be at least 4 points more than the other side for this bet to win, and the payout is increased for bigger margins.
    Strategy Tips
    • 1
Statistically, the optimal way to play Baccarat is to repeatedly bet on Banker. However, it’s also a very boring way to play, and we suggest prioritizing your enjoyment instead.
    • 2
The no-commission table technically has a lower RTP than the standard version, which is true for all no-commission baccarat games. That said, the difference is fairly minor.
    • 3
The Player Bonus side bet is by far the strongest in terms of RTP, and we highly recommend it over the other options.

    Payouts & RTP

In baccarat, the default Banker bet is slightly more likely to win than the Player due to how the third card rules work. To compensate, a 5% commission is charged on all winning Banker bets, bringing its payout down to 0.95:1.

If you instead decide to play No Commission Baccarat by BETER Live, this fee is removed. Instead, Banker bets that win with a total hand value of 6 only pay half their usual reward.

    Special Features

On top of all the gameplay features discussed above, BETER Live Baccarat comes equipped with the usual bells and whistles you would expect from a top-notch live dealer game. For example, the menu at the top contains audio/video settings, dealer tipping, and an information panel. You can also use it to view your betting history and access the BETER live lobby.

The live chat is located to the right, allowing you to talk to dealers and other players in real-time.

Last but not least, you can find two roadmaps in the lower left corner. Baccarat roadmaps keep track of previous results and can help you identify patterns or streaks. Relying on these patterns is not a reliable way to win, but some players enjoy tracking them all the same.

    Languages

    • The game stream is mainly handled in English, which is the only language the dealers will use.
    • However, you can change the user interface to several other languages including Chinese, English, French, Greek, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.

    Our Verdict

BETER Live Baccarat offers a premium experience for any fan of classic Punto Banco. Its greatest strengths lie in its solid foundations – great visuals, an accessible interface, and classic rules that we’ve all come to know and love. The option to play without a Banker bet commission is another big plus because it allows the player to shape the experience to a degree.

Of course, the game itself is fairly straightforward. There’s nothing here that a baccarat fan hasn’t seen before, only made to high standards and with attention to detail. In fact, we would say that any issues are inherent to the game of baccarat itself. For instance, the RTP on some of the side bets is quite bad, but this is universally true for any baccarat table ever made.

To sum up, the live casino baccarat from BETER Live is a perfect choice if you just want to play the classic casino game. It’s a smooth, quality experience that impresses across the board.
