TV game shows have become a big inspiration for all sorts of live table games in recent years. We’ve seen some very interesting specialty casino games come out as a result. This recent Playtech release is certainly a great example.

Playtech Deal or No Deal The Big Draw is a live casino game inspired by the American Deal or No Deal show and released in 2020. Of course, some changes had to be made to fit the game format into a live casino setting. The outcome is an interesting combination of something like online keno and completely unique concepts.

Like most such titles, it’s all about engagement and bringing a game show experience to online players. For instance, the dealers play a big part in how the Deal or No Deal casino game is presented. They won’t be replacing Howie Mandel on the original any time soon, but they leave a very positive impression.

There’s not much to talk about when it comes to technical details. You can tweak all the usual options in the settings menu, such as audio options and stram quality. Bet ranges depend on the casino in question, but are usually between €0.10 to €100, which should fit anyone’s wallet.

Knowing how to play Deal or No Deal by Playtech is half the battle here, so let’s dive right in. Importantly, the game will present you with an introductory video guide when you first run it. If some parts of The Big Draw 2020 aren’t clear, the game does a fairly good job at explaining itself. Still, it takes some getting used to, but knowing how the original game show works helps a lot.

How to Play Playtech Deal or No Deal The Big Draw Online

  • The first step is to buy a ticket. The amount dictates how big the prizes are, ranging from 0.1x to 20x. Once that’s over, you’ll be presented with 16 prizes of varying amounts. You may choose to boost any of these for a small price. This simply increases the prize by an amount decided by you picking one of the 5 briefcases. You don’t know how much which case increases the prize, of course, but you’ll be hoping for a bigger number.
  • Then comes the Keno part of the game. The 16 prizes are randomly assigned to 16 briefcases. 15 are numbered, and one is “yours” by default. The keno ball draw will determine which of these are opened based on the number drawn, starting at 20 balls. You’re hoping for at least 7 open cases, which is when the dealer makes their first offer.
  • If you can’t open 7 cases, you can choose to give up on the game or buy another 5 balls. This is the most important part, arguably. The opened cases are out of the game, leaving only some prizes available. So, for instance, if only the small prizes are left, carrying on with the game may not be worth it.
  • Once 7 cases are open, the banker will make you an offer. The offer is not always a profit, so you may want to just open your case. It’s a gamble based on the remaining cases – you may get more or less than the banker offer. This decision making is what Deal or No Deal The Big Draw strategy is all about.
  • Lastly, you can opt to buy more balls, up to 35 total. More than 7 opened cases will multiply all prizes, which is one way of increasing returns.

The Side Bet Mini Game

Regardless of your choices, each round will always go through all 35 balls and a chance to switch cases. Remember – there are potentially hundreds of other players with their own cases, prizes, offers, and deals. If you tap out early from the Deal or No Deal The Big Draw game, this might mean a lot of downtime.

Not to worry – Playtech made a minigame to keep you occupied for such cases. It’s essentially just a simple bingo live casino game with 3×3 cards. It uses the ball draw of the main game for its results. Of course, you have to buy cards, with each costing the same as your initial ticket. You can buy up to 20 tickets, and the side bet can be surprisingly profitable. A card with all 6 lines offers a 100x multiplier!

Our Verdict of Live Deal or No Deal The Big Draw

Whenever you play Deal or No Deal online for real money, you’re guaranteed to have a blast. There’s a downside, though. With an RTP rate of 95.38%, it’s not as profitable as most other live dealer casino games. It’s not catastrophically poor, mind you, but it’s something to keep in mind.

So is the Deal or No Deal The By Draw game a good way of making money? Probably not. Even the biggest wins are not terribly exciting. It’s a great way to have some fun – and at €0.10 per ticket, it’s certainly worth a shot.

You can play Deal or No Deal The Big Draw on any of the many top Playtech casinos and judge for yourself.
