How to Play Teen Patti Live

If you already know how to play live casino poker, you’ll feel right at home with this game. As mentioned previously, Teen Patti is a straightforward version of 3-card poker. Since this is Evolution’s first foray into this game type, there are no big extras or innovative features. It’s a simple game of casino poker, which we know many players will enjoy.

If you’re just starting out, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to play Teen Patti Live.

Teen Patti Rules and Ante

Teen Patti is played with a full set of cards, minus the Jokers. Also, the cards are shuffled every round.

To play Evolution Teen Patti, simply pick a table and wait for the next available betting period. There are no limited seats in this game, and all connected players share the same hand.

You will have to place an Ante bet first, which acts as a Buy-In for the game. If you want to play any side bets, this is also the moment to do so.

The Deal and Play Bet

The dealer will then place 3 cards on the players’ side of the table face-up. They will also deal 3 face-down cards, which is the dealer’s hand.

After examining the player’s hand, you have a decision to make on whether you want to keep playing or fold. If you’re happy with the cards, you need to place a Play bet. This wager always uses the same Stake as the Ante bet.

You can also Fold in Teen Patti, which forfeits your Ante bet but saves you from any further losses.

Qualification and Results

If you decide to Play and confirm the bet, the dealer will reveal their own cards. The two hands are compared, and the stronger Poker Hand wins. If your hand is weaker you lose both Ante and Play bets. If the hands are tied, both bets Push. These hands can range from High Card to Mini Royal.

However, the two hands are only compared if the dealer qualifies. This means that they have to have at least a Queen High Card or better. In short, if the dealer doesn’t qualify, your Ante bet wins but your Play bet pushes.

Additionally, if you win with a Straight or better, you receive an Ante Bonus payout. The Teen Patti Ante Bonus pays regardless of whether your Play bet wins or not. Check out the paytable below for more details.

However, the main extra option we should talk about are the two main bets.

Pair Plus wins if the player hand contains at least a Pair. Essentially, you’re betting that you’ll get something better than a High Card. The payout depends on which 3-card poker hand your cards manage to make, ranging from 1:1 for a Pair to 100:1 for a Mini Royal.
6-Card Bonus side bet in Teen Patti looks at both player cards and dealer cards on the table and tries to make full, 5-card poker hands. Because it uses 6 cards in total, it only pays for a Three of a Kind or better. However, payouts go all the way up to 1,000:1 for a Royal Flush

We suggest looking at the Teen Patti Live payout table if you want our opinions on the side bets. Pair Plus is not ideal, but you can place it if you want to spice up the main bet. The 6-Card Bonus bet is mostly unusable due to its enormous house edge.

For now, we can only be certain that an English-speaking Teen Patti table will be available. However, it would make a lot of sense for Evolution to let their customers play Teen Patti Live in Hindi. We can’t confirm any native-speaking tables yet, however.

Teen Patti Live offers the trademark level of polish and quality from Evolution, but does not include the level of innovation we’ve come to expect from them in recent years. It’s a straightforward live casino poker game that feels great to play but offers little that the competition doesn’t.

To be fair, that’s exactly what Evolution set out to do with their Live Teen Patti game. The game was just meant as a good way to play poker online in India, and no extra bells or whistles were intended. In that regard we have nothing but praise for this game – it accomplished exactly what it set out to do. Realistically speaking, though, it’s a niche product that won’t stand out too much in the current Evolution portfolio.
