Authentic Gaming is known for providing some of the best live roulette games on the market, which was largely their brand until recently. Between Multiplay Blackjack online and their Multibet Baccarat offer, it seems they’re finally breaking into card games. They’re doing so in a fairly spectacular fashion, too. Considering that these are the first Authentic Gaming card games out there, it’s quite a surprise that they managed to knock it out of the park.

Multiplay Blackjack stands out as a top-quality live dealer blackjack game with a focus on offering plenty of options to players. It notably comes with no less than 7 side bets, which is more than enough for even the pickiest of players.

Beyond that, the game presents itself with the kind of polish and quality we would expect from only the best studios. The studio set is admittedly a bit generic, and it looks similar to most competing titles. However, we have nothing but praise for the professionally-trained dealers. They do a great job at engaging the audience in spite of the Common Draw blackjack rules.

If you don’t know what common draw rules are in blackjack, no worries. This kind of setup merely means that there are no limited seats in Multiplay Blackjack by Authentic Gaming. Instead, all players share the same card hand but maintain full independence in their decision-making.

Key Highlights

Players all share the same hand but make independent decisions

Seven side bets for a wide variety of wagering options
$1 minimum bet for the main blackjack bets
Full HD stream running 24/7, so you can play at any time

How to Play Multiplay Blackjack Live

If you’re a blackjack old hand, the only thing you need to know is that this game uses common draw mechanics. This means that all players share the same hand and results. However, you still get to make your own calls independently. The other rules are fairly standard for online 21.

Start playing by placing bets using the chips. You’ll need to place a main blackjack bet to play, while the side bets are optional. Once the betting period is over, the dealer will place 4 cards on the table. Two are player cards and are face up, while the dealer receives one face down card and one facing up. To win Multiplay Blackjack, the player hand has to be closer to 21 than the dealer hand. To ensure that, you have the standard options to Hit, Stand, Double, or Split.

The player cards you see are used by all players at the table. However, the calls you make are independent. For example, you can decide to stand and “lock-in” the current hand, and then wait for the dealer cards to be revealed and the round resolved. Other players may choose to Hit for another card. Any cards the dealer reveals after you hit “Stand” don’t apply to you, though.

As far as the rules go, they’re fairly standard. The dealer must draw to 16 and stand on any 17. Doubling is allowed on any hand, but you must draw only one more card after that. Splitting is also allowed on any pair, but you can’t double split Aces.

Early Payout is also enabled on select tables, depending on the casino you’re playing at.

Live Casinos Best Tips for Multplay Blackjack

  • Although side betting is a big focus for Multiplay Blackjack, remember that the main bet is the strongest one in every live blackjack game.
  • The side bets in Multiplay Blackjack are sub-optimal in terms of RTP rates. If you really want to play them, Lucky Lucky, Lucky Ladies, and Perfect Pairs are likely the best options.
  • As always, avoid the Insurance bet like the plague. There is almost no scenario in which Insurance is worth taking.

Multiplay Blackjack payouts are standard for a game of its kind. This means that winning pays even money, Blackjack pays 3:2, and Insurance pays 1:1. The early payout feature issues dynamic payouts depending on the cards in play.

This brings us to the side bets, which are many and varied. Check out the Multiplay Blackjack paytable below for more details.

Special Features

The Authentic Gaming interface is a relatively minimalistic one, and the UI feels open and uncluttered. We personally liked it, though some players may prefer to have access to info like stats and result histories.

Obviously, Multiplay Blackjack side bets take center stage as this game’s main features. Let’s take a look at how side bets work in Multiplay Blackjack.

  • Player/Dealer Perfect Pairs are one of the most common side bets in live dealer blackjack. These two win if the relevant hand draws a pair as its first two cards. You’ll get a better reward if the cards are also of the same color or suit.
  • 21+3 is all about making poker hands with your first two cards and the dealer’s up card. Stronger hands yield better rewards
  • Lucky Ladies wins for any Queens present in the initial hand, or if it totals 20. Better payouts are awarded for specific hands – check the paytable above for details.
  • Lucky Lucky is a unique blackjack side bet that pays if you get certain initial hands. Winning outcomes include 19, 20, and Suited and Unsuited combinations of 6, 7, 8. Three-of-a-kind 7s also pays massively, as per the paytable above.
  • Buster Blackjack predicts that the dealer will bust (go over 21) on the next hand. The more cards the dealer draws before that happens, the better the payout. Also awards a hefty bonus for Player Blackjack.
  • Top 3 is essentially a more volatile version of 21+3. Pays huge amounts, but only on a select few hard-to-get hands.

  • Multiplay Blackajck is Authentic Gaming’s first foray into blackjack games, so it only has one active table until the audience grows. The dealers at that table exclusively speak English.
  • However, you can still change the language of the interface to English, Chinese, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, or Turkish.

Our Verdict of Authentic Gaming Multiplay Blackjack Live

Live blackjack games with side bets seem to be a growing trend these days. Authentic Gaming pushed this idea to its limits with this release, with a selection of side bets to put even their biggest competitors to shame.

Of course, the problem with focusing on live table blackjack side bets is that not everyone likes them. Side betting is never the optimal way to play blackjack, so many players avoid them altogether. If that’s the way you play, Multiplay Blackjack won’t be too interesting to you. You can also probably find better offers out there with a slightly higher main bet RTP.

IF you’re all about blackjack side bets, though, you’ll have a field day with Multiplay Blackjack. We appreciate the clear vision of this release and the fact it was made to appeal to a specific audience. It’s certainly a solid way for Authentic to step into the blackjack ring.

Yes and no. It’s a multiplayer game because players from across the globe all connect and play at the same table. However, multiplayer blackjack usually refers to a game in which players play against one another. That isn’t the case here – In Authentic Multiplay Blackjack, all players face off against the house.
The Lucky Ladies side bet in blackjack pays if you draw a Queen as one of your two initial cards or they total 20. A Pair of Queen of Hearts pays 100:1, too.
The Top 3 side bet in blackjack pays if you manage to gather specific hands with your initial two cards plus the dealer’s visible card. Specifically, the bet wins if the three cards are Three of a Kind or make a Straight Flush.
As per Authentic Gaming’s official info, the optimal RTP for the main game is 99.50%. This means the house edge of Multiplay Blackjack is just 0.50%. However, the many side bets have a considerably bigger house edge.
Unfortunately, the Multiplay Blackjack demo version is not available to most people. The same is true for all Authentic Gaming games. Currently, you can only play Multiplay Blackjack for real money.
