XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat: Our Review, How and Where to Play

As most baccarat games, XXXTreme Lightning Baccarat is played with 8 standard 52-card decks which the dealer draws cards from a shoe of previously shuffled cards. You can bet on Banker, Player, or Tie – the three standard wagers in baccarat.

To bet, you can use the three main betting areas at the center of the screen by placing chips on them.. There are also two additional side bet areas for Banker Pair and Player Pair. We’ll discuss these in more detail later.

As always, your goal is to predict whether Banker or Player will be closer to a total value of 9 after drawing two cards. Each hand may also receive a third card, depending on special Baccarat third card rules. Only the last digit of any hand total counts towards winning, so all cards 10 and over count as a 0.

We should also note that all winning Banker bets have to pay a small 3% commission because Banker is more likely to win than Player. However, in XXXTreme Lightning Baccarat, that fee is smaller than the usual 5%.

Lightning Multipliers

The most important feature of XXXTreme Lightning Baccarat are the multipliers. They’re what sets this game apart from the competition, and the centerpiece of the whole Lightning theme. Here’s how it all works.

In every round, between 4 and 8 cards are randomly selected from a virtual deck of 52 cards. These cards are selected for Lightning Multipliers.

Each of these cards is randomly assigned a 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 8x, or 10x multiplier. You can see the current Lightning Cards in the bottom left corner of the screen.

If you make a bet and it wins after drawing a Lightning Multiplier card, your winnings are increased by the multiplier. Importantly, only the cards for the winning Player or Banker side apply. For instance, your Player bet can only be multiplied by Lightning cards that are drawn on the Player side of the table.

For example, let’s say that the 5 of Clubs was selected for a 5x multiplier. If you bet on Banker and the Banker hand draws a 5 of Clubs and wins, you’ll win 5x your stake.

Interestingly, these multipliers stack multiplicatively with each other. For example, if the hand you bet on contains a 2x multiplier and a 3x multiplier, you’ll end up with a total 6x multiplier.

Winning Tie bets can be increased by any card on the table. This effectively means that up to 6 multipliers can affect a single Tie bet, leading to massive (but highly unlikely) potential payouts.

However, a 50% commission is charged on all bets in XXXTreme Lightning Baccarat to cover the costs of these potential multipliers. Note that this 50% does not count towards calculating payouts, same as the 3% Banker commission.

Side Bets

XXXTreme Lightning Baccarat also offers to side bets. Well, to be fair, they’re more like one side bet with two sides – Player and Banker.

The Player/Banker Pair side bet wins if the first two cards dealt to that side of the table are of the same value. A Player Pair bet only wins if the Player hand draws a pair, and vice versa.

Importantly, XXXTreme Lightning Baccarat side bets can also be increased by multipliers.
