How to Play Andar Bahar Live

As far as this table specifically is concerned, there are no big surprises. It uses a single standard deck of 54 cards. The first card the dealer draws is called the Game Card or the Joker. The goal of the game is for one of the two card piles, Andar and Bahar, to draw a card of the same value as the Joker.

Normally, Andar always draws the first card. This gives it a slight advantage, but it also means Andar bets pay 0.9:1, as opposed to the 1:1 reward of Bahar.

As a player, your job is to bet on which of these two sides will do so first. Rounds typically only last a few seconds due to the simple gameplay. You have around 12 seconds between rounds to place your bets. You can do so by using the on-screen chips to select the size of your stake and then placing them on the bet you wish to make.

Side Bets

Andar and Bahar are the two main bets, but you do have additional options. The side wagers available in this game include:

Andar 1st – This bet wins if Andar wins with the first card it’s dealt in the round.
Bahar 1st – This bet wins if Bahar wins with the first card it’s dealt in the round.
First 3 – Attempts to make simple 3-card poker hands using the Game Card and the first cards dealt to Andar and Bahar. If they form a Straight, Flush, or Straight Flush, you win a payout based on the strength of the hand.
Number of Cards – Predicts the number of cards dealt in total before the round ends. Betting options are divided into 5-card ranges, such as 1-5, 6-10, and 11-15.

No Commission Andar Bahar

In July 2023, SA Gaming introduced a new feature to the game – No Commission mode. You can switch it on at any time by clicking the button to the right.

No Commission mode increases the payouts of Andar bets to 1:1, making them equal with Bahar.

However, to compensate, Andar bets only win 0.25:1 if they win on the first card dealt to the Andar pile.

It seems like a small change, but the math behind it simply works. Turning on this mode increases the game’s RTP by a significant margin. Also, note that the Andar 1st, Bahar 1st, and First 3 side bets are not available in No Commission mode.

Our impressions of SA Gaming’s take on the Indian card game are strongly positive, but we have to admit it’s far from perfect.

The No Commission mode is what makes it truly stand out from the crowd. Not only is it a completely unique feature that no other live Andar Bahar table has, but it’s also extremely player-friendly. The significant boost to the game’s RTP makes this one of the best Andar Bahar games online – if not the best.

The downsides won’t affect everyone, but they can be significant. For instance, the side bets are generally poorly optimized and have a huge house edge. Also, the overall stream quality and production value are definitely not on the same level as some of SA Gaming’s big competitors.
