Red Door Roulette is an upcoming live casino roulette game that combines beloved features from Crazy Time with the classic gameplay of roulette. It works mostly like roulette but with a big focus on multipliers and special bonus rounds. The game boasts 97.09% – 97.3% RTP with a $0.1 minimum bet and a $5,000 maximum wager. Developed and operated by Evolution, the game is scheduled to be released on November 8, 2023.
Evolution is once again broadening its (already impressive) collection of roulette games. A large red door takes center stage as the gateway to the Bonus Round from Crazy Time, one of Evo’s most beloved releases to date. The resulting game is a hybrid roulette experience unlike any other. In this Red Door Roulette Live review, we’ll explain how to play the game, its features, payouts, and RTP. We’ll also offer our opinion on how good Red Door Roulette is and how it compares to its competitors.

Evolution is showing no signs of slowing down. Their jam-packed release schedule introduced a lot of innovative new ideas in 2022, and it seems we can expect the same thing throughout 2023. Red Door Roulette is one such game, and it seems a lot is expected from it.
Red Door Roulette combines live casino roulette with special features lifted directly from Evolution’s Crazy Time game show. The name references a well-known feature from Crazy Time – the red door. Every time Crazy Time’s bonus round triggers, the presenters move through the iconic door onto a special, AR-enhanced round with huge prizes.
In many ways, this game is also inspired by the beloved Lightning Roulette. For starters, it’s presented from an impressive studio based on TV game shows. This marks it as another entertainment-style live casino game. This means that a lot of work was put into a big, flashy production that is meant to keep your attention as much as the gameplay itself. Furthermore, the studio looks incredible – which is the usual standard for Evolution.
If you want to know more about how Red Door Roulette works, scroll down for an in-depth guide.
At its core, the majority of Red Door Roulette is simply classic European roulette. It has a single-zero wheel layout, which is good for the overall RTP.
You place bets using the familiar Evolution interface. Just use the chips to determine the size of your stake, and then place them on the betting positions you want.
All standard roulette bets are available. If you’re not familiar with how those work, check out this guide to roulette bets. Additionally, you can use the racetrack view in the lower left corner to also place so-called sector or French bets. You can read about those here.
However, if you want to take advantage of the Red Door feature, you will have to place Straight Up bets – bets that only cover a single number. In many ways, this works much like the acclaimed Lightning Roulette.
Straight Up bets have smaller payouts than with standard roulette rules at 19:1, but have a chance to win up to 4,000x through the bonus key mechanics.
The Red Door bonus round is famously featured in Crazy Time Live. Of course, the format has been adapted for use in roulette, so it’s not completely identical. It involves a small slot machine, special lucky keys, and a prize wheel. Here’s how the whole thing works.
As expected, the bonus round in Red Door Roulette is based on the Crazy Time Bonus.
Once it triggers, the presenter opens the famous red door. Behind it is a visually impressive AR-enhanced studio inspired by the world of Crazy Time. There’s also a large money wheel that is crucial to the whole bonus feature.
The Bonus Wheel in Red Door Roulette contains 64 segments. Each segment contains either a multiplier or the word Double.
The presenter spins the wheel, and the outcome is determined by where the wheel’s flapper lands.
As noted above, these payouts for most types of bets in the game are basically standard for all roulette games.
The only exception is Straight Up bets, which pay 19:1. However, they’re the only ones that have a shot at participating in the Bonus Round. As such, the payout for single-number wagers ranges from 19:1 to 3,999:1. You can find all of this info and more in the table below.
|Red Door Roulette Payouts - Inside Bets|
|Straight Up||1||19:1 - 3,999:1|
The RTP in Red Door Roulette is 97.3% for most types of bets, which is the industry standard for European roulette.
However, Straight Up bets in Red Door Roulette have 97.09% RTP. Although it’s technically lower, these wagers are the only way to participate in the exciting bonus rounds. They’re much more volatile, but they’re also the only real reason to play this game over other roulette tables.
