While there are certainly baccarat games with multipliers out there such as Evolution’s Lightning Baccarat or Pragmatic’s Mega Baccarat, most of them simply assign random multipliers to certain cards, potentially increasing payouts at random.
In contrast, this game offers bonuses through a sort of progressive jackpot system. You pay a 20% fee on all Player and Banker bets, but this fee goes towards building up a personal prize pool. If you manage to hit 4 consecutive wins with Player and Banker bets, you win a hefty Jackpot. Five consecutive wins result in a Grand Jackpot, which can reach some seriously impressive figures.
Beyond that, the game works like a standard live casino baccarat table: the ICONIC21 live baccarat game, to be more specific. You have your standard options of Player, Banker, and Tie bets. However, there is no fee on Tie bets, and they can’t be used to collect the progressive bonus. Grand Bonus Baccarat also removes any side bets, resulting in a relatively straightforward experience.

The objective, as with all baccarat games, is to predict whether the Player or Banker will draw cards with a total value closer to 9, or if the round will end in a Tie.
Each side draws two cards, with the option for a third card based on baccarat third card rules. Most cards count as their face value, though all cards 10 or stronger simply count as a 0. Additionally, any hand total exceeding 10 only counts as its first digit. For example, a total hand value of 16 counts as a score of 6.
There are three basic bets in Grand Bonus Baccarat – Player, Banker, and Tie. As you might imagine, if you bet on the Player side and it ends up closer to 9, you win. However, because of third card rules, the banker side has a slightly bigger chance of winning. That’s why all winning Banker bets in Baccarat pay a 5% commission. As such, the returns for player bets are 1:1, 0.95:1 for banker bets, and 8:1 for tie wagers.
Additionally, a 20% fee is applied to all Player and Banker bets. This fee is used for the bonus feature, which we’ll explain below. Tie bets do not have to pay a fee, but they can’t be used to build up streaks and win bonuses either.
The bonus mechanics of Grand Bonus Baccarat are this game’s defining feature. They’re a bit complicated compared to similar bonuses in live baccarat games, but they also provide a unique gameplay experience. Here’s how the Grand Bonus works.
Every time you make a Player or Banker bet, a 20% fee is charged on your wager. This fee is used to fund the progressive bonuses. 17% of the total fee value is used for the Mega Bonus, while the Grand Bonus receives 100% of the value. Additionally, random multipliers are applied to this value for every consecutive win:
If you manage to snag one of the two jackpots, the sum value of the previous 4-5 fees and their respective multipliers is awarded to you as a bonus.
However, if you lose even a single Player/Banker bet, the pot resets back to zero and you start all over again. If a round results in a Tie, the fee and multiplier are removed from the current counter, but you don’t lose the streak.
Also, you can only win one of the two jackpots – the Mega or the Grand. In other words, if you win the Grand Bonus, you can’t also win the Mega Bonus. Additionally, any progress you make towards winning the bonus is memorised and saved, so you can pick up where you left off during a future session.
Since the rules of Grand Bonus Baccarat are largely similar to the industry standard, all of the usual baccarat strategies can be used here to improve your chances of success. That said, baccarat is largely a game of chance, and the multipliers don’t really change that. As such, don’t expect to affect things too much by strategising.
Although the game is almost fully based on luck, there are still some strategies players can employ to maximize profits and minimize losses. For starters, all players should manage their bankrolls carefully to make their cash last longer.
Beyond that, the goal is to try and win as many Player/Banker bets as you can in a row. This is no easy feat – winning 4 or 5 hands in a row is a lot less likely than you might think.
In other words, repeatedly betting on the Banker is statistically the best strategy for Grand Bonus Baccarat. Of course, this is true for all baccarat games, but we hope that the statistics we provided help illustrate why.
Of course, the difference between Player and Banker bets is not all that big. If you decide to switch between the two to chase the streaks down, you’re not really making a mistake, you’re just being slightly inefficient.

First of all, the Grand Bonus features are quite innovative and unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. The game really rewards winning streaks through them, which makes the game flow in interesting ways. Building up streaks can be quite exciting, and we’re glad to see a game that leverages this fact to create a unique live casino experience.
Moreover, the bonuses can stack up to be very big, reaching several hundred times the worth of the fees. This won’t happen often, of course, but the extra volatility adds a bit of tension to the otherwise repetitive game of baccarat.
The biggest downside in all of this is the decreased RTP. The 96.94% RTP you can find with Banker bets is quite decent, but it’s still a substantial drop compared to regular baccarat.
