BetConstruct have been on a roll recently with four live online casino game releases over the summer. With a few successful titles under their belt, they’re quickly proving that they can punch above their weight class. Though they are still the new kids on the block, the name BetConstruct already bear a certain mark of quality.
Part of that quality is taking classic live casino games such as blackjack and spicing them up with creative additions. The BetConstruct live Switch Blackjack falls into this category. Though Switch Blackjack is by no means a new idea, it’s a relatively niche area of online gaming.
Before we get into the details of the BetConnect switch blackjack game, let’s take a look at the core offer. This is a high-quality, multi-camera stream of a three-seat blackjack table. Each player gets two boxes, used for two hands each turn. Those who’ve had the chance to try out this developer’s classic blackjack will be quite familiar with the whole presentation. BetConnect use a sleek, relatively simplistic interface across all their titles. Both new and experienced players will feel right at home.
The typical live blackjack game interface is somewhat different to accommodate the new Switch rules. There are also some options for side bets, namely Perfect Pairs, Bet Behind, and Super Match. The third option is unique to the Switch Blackjack ruleset, which we’ll get into in a moment.
Switch Blackjack uses 8 decks, dealing the cards out to players in two boxes. Each player is dealt 2 hands and is allowed to “switch” their second cards between the two. This allows players to get Blackjack easier than ever before – but it comes at a price. For starters, Blackjack pays out at odds of 1:1 instead of the usual 3:2.
Additionally, if the dealer gets 22, it results in a push instead of a bust. The game then proceeds with standard blackjack rules, with each participant playing two hands. The dealer always hits a soft 17, though, and is allowed to peek for Blackjack after an initial Ace. Either way, you’ll have to know the basics of Blackjack before you could play BetConstruct Switch Blackjack effectively.
This also entails other characteristics of live online blackjack. You won’t be able to play unless one of the three spots is free, for instance. The turn timer is set to 15 seconds, which is fairly standard in the industry.
The Super Match side bet allows you to predict which four cards you’ll draw initially. The side bet wins if you get same-value cards among those four. For instance, a pair pays out 1:1, three-of-a-kind pay out 5:1, and four-of-a-kind pay out 40:1.
In terms of a Switch Blackjack strategy, the beginning “switch” plays a big part. The increased chances of getting Blackjack are favourable to the player, so look out for good opportunities. Beyond that, it’s usually a good idea to just focus on one hand as a possible winner.
BetConstruct are quickly building up quite a name for themselves. As we’ve outlined in our BetConstruct Switch Blackjack review, there’s a lot to like about this title. Further still, they’ve shown a commitment to improving. Some of the features of this game were implemented thanks to player feedback from their previous ones, for instance. All in all, Switch Blackjack is an excellent choice if you feel the typical blueprint for blackjack is getting stale. The biggest issue so far is that there aren’t a lot of top live casinos with Switch Blackjack yet.
