• What is your favorite part of the job? 

Flexible hours are still my favorite part. Not only can I choose to work on shifts, but also to work less if my family needs me more in certain months – all I have to do is to speak to the manager and the co-workers in advance.

• How do you think the live casino vertical is reshaping the entire casino industry?

A lot of people have to travel far – some even have to travel abroad – to visit a land-based casino. With live casinos, gaming has become so convenient now. People no longer have to visit a land-based casino if they wish to play some table games. All people have to do is a few taps on the screen.

• What is your advice for people who are thinking about becoming live dealers?

The shifts for live dealers can be very long. It’s possible to work for fewer days but the length of each shift is rather fixed. You also need the mentality to handle any possible harsh situations and be really good at the games that you operate. There are manuals on how to handle situations, but there are always unexpected incidents.

• What kind of training did you need to do and how long did it take before you could work as a live dealer?

The training covers various topics like hosting the games, identifying payouts, controlling the game pace, learning proper poses and gestures. We need to take a test before actually getting to deal at the tables.
