Pragmatic Play, one of the leading providers of live casino tables in the world, has solidified its presence in the Latin American online casino sector by enhancing its collaboration with Juega en Línea.
As stated in a recent press release, the two entities have reached an agreement for the implementation of Pragmatic Play’s advanced Smart Studio solution. This strategic move enables the prominent operator to provide fully tailored live dealer tables that cater specifically to its regional audience.
Steady Partnerships
The partnership is not a new development; it builds on a fruitful relationship that began in 2021 when Pragmatic Play integrated its award-winning game portfolio into Juega en Línea’s platform. This initial agreement allowed the operator to access a variety of popular slots, live tables, and sports betting options.
In fact, Pragmatic was one of the first providers in the live casino vertical to actively focus on the LatAm market. So far, they’ve mostly done so through a growing list of casino operators based in the region. They’ve also delivered quite a lot of variants of popular Pragatic Play live tables, catering specifically to the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking audiences.
Now, four years later, they are embarking on a new agreement that marks a significant evolution in their partnership, focusing on delivering localized, branded live dealer experiences, made possible by Pragmatic Play’s Smart Studio technology.
What Is the Pragmatic Smart Studio?
Smart Studio empowers casino operators with comprehensive control over the branding and presentation of their games, utilizing innovative technologies to craft immersive and customized gaming environments for players.
As far as we understand it, it basically allows operators to access custom streams of common Pragmatic Games like Lucky 6 Roulette or ONE Blackjack. While the dealers, games, props, and even RNG calculations are the same, visual elements such as the studio background can be easily changed to fit any casino’s style and identity. In practice, this means that even smaller sites can now have bespoke, dedicated games that are (at least seemingly) exclusive to that one platform.
It reminds us of Vivo Gaming‘s Chroma Key technology, which earned the provider multiple awards for innovation a few years ago.
As a result of this agreement, players at Juega en Línea will have the opportunity to enjoy personalized versions of popular Pragmatic Play games, merging the excitement of the games with a familiar aesthetic.
Victor Arias, Vice President of LATAM Operations at ARRISE powering Pragmatic Play, stated:
“Expanding the relationship with Juega en Línea to deliver bespoke titles for its customers is another fantastic achievement for Pragmatic Play in Latin America. This customized Live Casino experience reflects the provider’s commitment to providing tailored, high-quality content that resonates with local audiences and enhances player engagement globally.”
The Growing Importance of Latin America
This deal seems to be following a trend. Many operators and game providers have recently turned their eyes to the Latin American region, which offers a massive but relatively untapped market.
The trend isn’t rising just because of the market potential, though. In the past few years, we’ve seen several South American countries finally formalize their legal stance on online gambling. New regulatory bodies, such as Colombia’s Coljuegos and Peru’s MINCETUR, have been established to protect both players and gambling companies operating in the region.
For their part, Pragmatic has also stepped up production of live dealer tables. Although the company is usually associated with online slot machines, the last few years saw it release some incredibly advanced and innovative live games. Some examples include Boom City, PowerUP Roulette, and the Treasure Island game show.
On top of that, Pragmatic is only the latest in a long series of providers that have expressed interest in South and Central American markets. For example, Evolution was the first provider to open studios in Argentina, and BetGames has been working hard to enhance its presence in the region as well.
All in all, things are looking up for Latino players, whose access to live dealer tables is already stronger than ever before.
