Prominent Swedish online gaming developer and provider, NetEnt have received a confirmation of their leading position in the industry and the quality they have been providing to their customers, at EGR Nordic Awards 2017. NetEnt was selected as Casino Content Supplier of the Year leaving behind seven other contenders for this prestigious award. The winners in 12 categories were announced on Tuesday 17th January, at Corinthia Hotel St. George’s Bay on Malta.
EGR Nordic Awards is a new event which was started in 2016 to identify and award recognitions to the most successful gaming providers in the Nordic region. The competition in this region is fierce, with many excellent and professional developing companies working hard on constantly upgrading their content and services with innovative ideas.
EGR Nordic Awards 2017 accepted entries until November 25th 2016, which they later on short-listed into 12 different categories taking into consideration various criteria. The award-winning categories were: Casino Operator, Customer Service Operator, In-house Innovation, Marketing Campaign, Mobile Operator, Nordics Operator, Socially Responsible Operator, Sports Betting Operator, Affiliate of The Year, Casino Content Supplier, Casino Platform Supplier, Sports Betting Supplier.
NetEnt won the Casino Content Supplier of the Year award competing against strong contenders, including some of the leading names on the market such as Playtech and Evolution Gaming and NYX Gaming Group. The rest of the shortlisted names were Magnet, Pragmatic Play and QuickSpin. The panel of expert judges had a difficult task in this case as each of the suppliers invests a great deal into innovation and the quality of service and user experience. Still, NetEnt’s content in 2016 was deemed best and with all fairness it was a rightful decision. NetEnt’s CPO Simon Hammon expressed company’s satisfaction with the results: “We are thrilled to win Casino Content Supplier of the Year, which is a great reward for NetEnt’s continued dedication to creating innovative, unique and diverse casino games for our customers. This was also recognized with the recent success of Guns N’ Roses being named Game of the Year at the Operator Awards. The Casino Operator of the Year was determined according to the following criteria: their innovative approach, quality of products and services, marketing and branding activities, customer orientation and commercial success. The winner of this category was LeoVegas. Mr. Green is the only candidate that received two awards: for Nordic Operator of the Year and Best Marketing Campaign. Playtech was voted Best Casino Platform Supplier, while Casumo won the award for the Best Mobile Operator.
