Golden Nugget becomes first US casino to introuduce Live Dealer Texas Hold’em

Players at Atlantic City are finally able to enjoy live online poker since Golden Nugget Casino has launched Live Casino Hold’em to become the very first US casino to offer this exciting service.

This facility is one out of five that offer real money gambling in Atlantic City and has been working for a long time on ways to bring Texas Hold’em to its visitors and now it’s finally here.

Live Casino Hold’em

Live Casino Hold’em is a form of poker played over the internet but with a real-life dealer stationed in a studio in Atlantic City.

Only players within the borders of Garden State are allowed to play and the platform will be available from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. seven days a week. The Golden Nugget is New Jersey’s top online gambling operator in terms of revenue but the casino doesn’t offer classic version of web poker. This innovation is hoped to increase the number of players and provide them with the best gaming experience.

The live dealer online table games are nothing new, but this form of Texas Hold’em is said to be the first one in the United States. Only three states have regulated online casino-style betting, Delaware, Nevada and New Jersey, while others are struggling to come up with casino bills. All states hope this will change in 2018.

Upon the launch of Live Casino Hold’em, Golden Nugget officials are happy the casino goes on the record to be the first to introduce such project in the United States.

“We are the first to offer a Live Dealer version of the world’s most popular poker game in America. By doing this, we’re showing our commitment to deliver. We want to offer an innovative and world-class product to our patrons.”

Huge Hit

Online live variations of poker are a huge hit in Europe for several years now and the companies that have their live casino versions are Playtech, Microgaming and Ezugi among others.

This casino uses the software coming from Ezugi, the provider that first introduced its tech used for live dealer games in the United States in 2016. Since many states hope to change their luck in the future in terms of gambling bills, the US is a great market for the suppliers of live casino technology solutions.

Ezugi is pleased with this deal and is content to provide the game to American players, that retains the strong connection between the player and a dealer in a live environment.
