BetGames.TV has recruited Andreas Köberl as chief executive officer.
BetGames.TV has appointed Andreas Köberl as chief executive officer. The decision follows the numerous distribution deals the company inked in recent weeks and months targeting multiple global jurisdictions.
Plenty of Experience
Köberl joins the firm from Playtech Sports where he started out as commercial director. From there he went on to head up the Trinity Bet Group and operate the Germany and Austria-facing sportsbook brand HPYBET.
The Austrian will bring over 12 years of expertise from various positions involved in managing complex software products. This includes the aerospace industry and Microsoft.
Köberl commented on the new role.
“I have had the opportunity to learn from several B2B industry leaders over the past decade,” he said. Adding: “my recent experience building up a B2C operator in a highly-competitive market will serve me well as I look forward to this exciting challenge at BetGames.TV.”
“I am grateful for the trust that has been placed in me. Vygerdas and the team have built an incredible and unique company and culture which I plan to grow to new heights in the coming years.”
As a result, Vygerdas Jonikas, founder of BetGames.TV, will transition to focus on product innovation. He will be moving into the CPO position.
“It has been a very pleasant journey, from a crazy idea to today, a successful company,” Jonikas stated. They have filled the betting market with “a constant calendar of table games, lotteries and other inventive live content.”
“I strongly believe that everybody should do what they are best at. For me, this means generating new product ideas and driving innovation.”
Jonikas is thrilled to have a “superbly-qualified candidate in Andreas coming into the CEO role”. Here his “experience and hunger for new challenges fits perfectly,” he concluded.
BetGames.TV is eyeing a further boost to its global audience after teaming up with games aggregator QTech Games. The live dealer betting games supplier will have its entire portfolio incorporated into the QTech Games platform. This includes titles such as Wheel of Fortune and Baccarat.
This month, too, the firm has formed a partnership with Mexican online operator Ganabet.mx. Under the contract, it will offer its full product suite to the operator.
